    Orc for Art Test

Hi everyone! Been some time since I've last posted something here

Here's a sketch for a painting for the Art Test over at ArtOrder...
I did a few sketches before hand to familiarize myself with the proportions as proposed by the reference images supplied for the contest.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

The challenge, if I recall correctly, was to create either a shaman or a cook from the orc tribe, right?

Well, I don't think there's enough "shaman" about this one yet. It's a good first step, but you should try to step into the shoes of this orc shaman for a while. Imagine his duties, daily routine, what he would need for his rituals. He's a religious leader, so research what gods they might worship. How long has he been the shaman of his tribe? Ask questions. Why is he wearing pearls - what do they signify? And so on.

Looks pretty plain right now. Unless you want it that way, I suggest add more details!

I don't understand how more details would help at this stage?
References to sort out anatomy issues is what I was thinking about.
