    Grey's Sktchbk

    First time poster, long time troller. I used to draw all the time while I was in school. Trying to get back into this, all help and crits appreciated.

    Hey there! thanks for posting! I liek your style, a real broad base and thin details! It looks really cool! Id like to see a bit more finished works tho, and see how that turns out.

    check out Sinx he is a great digital painter and helped my technique out a lot!

    Hey man, good start, i can tell youre just breaking into digital painting, and so my suggestion would be work on your blending a bit more!

    Thanks for commenting on my Sketchbook. Are you using photos underneath the drawing? if so I would recommend to use them only as a reference on how understand shapes, lighting and perspective because just copying is not going to help that much. I'm no expert I'm just repeating what I hear, really but you are doing fine, I like how you did the chap from 30 Rock.

    Actually i don't use photos underneath, i keep them on a separate window to the side of the workplace... Sometimes the color is off so i have to use the ink spotter tool

    Hey i checked out the vids and subscribed, very informative stuff! Thank alot .. I ordered corel painter, should gt it sometime next week. Been using paint.net all this time. Quite a difference!

    Hey, thank you for dropping by my thread. I like the landscape, it just works quite well.
    I think you should defintely grab pencil and sketchbook and draw stuff you see! Paint digitaly as much as you want, but drawing and painting from life will make you develop.

    I did some observation stuff in pencil, held back on digital as requested. I did buy corel painter this week. More stuff on that later...

    OH MY GOD these are really freaken sweet. i'm particularly loving the first one
    and YAY!! someone else uses paint.net at times.. ive been using that and gimp, as well as paint tool SAI for digital things.. as well as my shity scanner ;p
    but wow, these are fab-- keep on truckin
