    Lucas Bianchi's Sketchbook

    Hello all,

Glad to finally join up with you guys. I've been hearing great things about the conceptart.org community but never got around to posting much.

    A little about me:
I have a 2 year design degree and I am now continuing my schooling in the area of fine arts. I love Photoshop and creating all sorts of brushes.

I hear artists say I'm a designer... and I hear designers say I'm an artist.
That's where things are at at this point, I'll let you be the judge.

Thanks for checking out my work,

    -Lucas B.

    Past Highlights

So to abide with Ira Glass' quote on producing work to achieve results in the creative field, first I'd like to present you my "taste".
This post should have nothing special, but just some stuff that is more than likely to be somehow brought back into my art making later on. (It seems to be something that happens to me a lot... things are just brought back without me knowing).

Sweet drawings, dude! Especially the earlier ones. Was there a time-gap between those drawings? You seem to have a really good grip on anatomy and value, I can only suggest you try to improve on composition and colours. Other than you're that looking rad.

    Catching Up

Hey guys, so this semester was a blast. But now it's time to updaaaaaaate!!! Foreverrrrrr!!!

Jonromero: About the action figure - I took a character design class where we played around with some sculpey a couple years ago right out of high school. It was great! The thing is at my parents' basement detached all over, but he could still be put together at some point : )

    CONtra: New stuff coming up!

arvalis: Well well well... look who it is. Hey man, your newest stuff is looking killer, keep it up. Keep in touch.

    Topcross: Thanks!

    jacilynw84: Thanks I will!

Kweckduck: Yes there is a varied time gap in between there in that first post. Sorry it was kind of a wild post.. these next ones will make more sense. Thank you sir! Yes yes I still have a lot to do! :-)

twilightmoon777: Thanks twilight! I will! Dynamics is what I'm all about... I struggle with a lot of things, but I always try to give things an extra sense of movement... it's just something I've always been in love with. Thanks again for the comment!

    Catching Up 2.0

    Like I said... Updaaaaaaaate... Foreveeeeeer

There is a mix of in school drawing as well as sketchbook pages, some portraits done in school and others done outside school. There is still a little more catching up to do but I'm almost there.

Cheers all, thanks for all the feedback on my stuff.

I really like your variety of mediums, you seem to be at a comfortable level or better in all of them- That sculpture is very unique I like it. Nice studies and best of luck with your goals

    Catching Up 3.0

This is the final post with everything up to date (PHEW!)

It's been quite the workload to get these images up here, but now I'll stay on top of things a little better. I apologize the only camera I can work with is from my phone, so I tried to make things as convenient as possible from a Photoshop standpoint.

    Steeliebob: Thanks

kwangho: Thank you for the observation. But no, I'm afraid I'm just grazing the surface of each individual medium. It seems to me that once artists can sharpen their eye to certain things... the medium just follows. Knowing my tools is definitely one of my biggest weaknesses (primarily because I won't just settle with one.) but I think that's about to change. The sculpture was very inventive, and I had a lot of fun doing it as well as some help. I still plan to continue meddling with it. Thanks again for the comment.

Here are the complete rest of the images.
