Avatar Legend of Korra HQ Trailer

    For those who haven't seen.

Nickelodon has the HQ trailer of the new Avatar series coming out later this fall.

    http://nicktoons.nick.com/videos/cli...aser-cx24.html

I'm looking forward to it. I like how it's showing a progression in society instead of the same setting 70+ years later.

Aand here's a link for people outside of US.

Looks very cool. However if this takes place around 100 years after the first one, hasn't technology developed a bit too fast? ^^'

Hmm. Maybe. Just feels like going from mostly the middle ages to some kind of 19th century/steam punk era seems like a bit of a jump. But maybe it'll make sense in the show...

I'm not so sure about that either because remember, the Fire Nation had inventions (although the inventor was not from Fire nation but a refugee) that already started on technology.

For example that drill used a combination of mechanics and firebending in Ba Sing Se.

The invasion of the Fire Nation, they made submarines, it's not too farfetched to start learning how to make them without bending.

It is also more confined to a new City, which IIRC is the city that used to be the Air Temple. So different areas are progressed with technology, other areas still kept in their ways.

Nah, but if you're more interested on the show. Someone had the Comic Con Panel about it on youtube, and the wiki has good info: http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/The_Las...egend_of_Korra

I'm really interested to see how this turns out, the new Avatar looks interesting. And on the wiki it says Katara and Aang are going to be in it (as old people obv.) and they have a son: http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Tenzin .

It's being cocreated by some of the same people who worked on the original so I have high hopes!!!! And the setting looks fantastic, I like the modern take on it. I imagine the story arc will be about technology vs bending. It says something on the wiki about anti-benders revolting.

Sweet. Looking forward to this. The animation looks pretty sweet, even though she feels a little heavier in design than the old crew.

Well that wiki is wrong in the sense that Aang has to be dead. Otherwise the new avatar couldn't exist. Ya know the whole reincarnation thing lol.

Katara might be old. But if I remember correctly it takes place 70 years after the first one so she'd be fairly old 80-90's.

Well Aang still can be in it, just not as a live person. Just like we saw Rokuu through Aang.

How have I not seen this yet!? I'm stoked.

    My Sketchbook

And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.

Well that solves my problem with wondering where they'll find an airbending teacher.... kinda...... guessing he's related to Aang because I doubt 70 years would be enough time to repopulate the Air Nomads gene line.

    Or... is it....

All I gotta say is WOW!

The animation is superb, and I love the music. I won't post spoilers yet but already this character holds on her own. It's extremely nice to see a strong female character head an action show.

Having tried to watch the last airbender but quitting due to the younger cast, i watched this a few days ago and really liked it. The animation came a ways too. Maybe I'll try to get into the previous series again.

Never watched the original series,so this should be interesting.
