    Formal Apology

I want to say I am sorry for how I acted here at Concept Art. I really was not prepared for this type of forum. A forum was to me just a place to make dirty jokes and act insane; this place is more like an educational institution. So, instead of learning new techniques and listening to the professionals here, I butted heads with people way more skilled and educated than myself just to prove my "worth"--or lack thereof.

You are great people and I did learn a lot: I feel like a lot of the bullshit I was carrying around with me has been painfully seared away--but it worked! So I also want to say thank you. I'm really not a horrible person--I had just built up a lot of barriers to protect myself and my delusions. I literally wanted to be the best artist in the world; but now I find myself appreciating the time and effort that other people have put into their work. I mean, I really see it now!

This place is very intimidating because of the honesty in people's eyes and the hard work they have accomplished with their own two hands. I came here with all of my shallow pretensions and they were burned away by a wrathful truth.

    Sincerely,

    Andrew B

Yeah, you said a few dumb things but people here are really hardheaded so when you butt heads you're the one that gets most of the bruises. What really counts is what you're going to do from now on, and if you want to learn and improve then there's lots of time left to do so.

    Keep drawing!

Why did I laugh at this?

I kind of feel bad about Connie. You know that YouTube of the Very Angry Cat? Like that. Not funny; I want to take that psycho cat home, give it a hot water bottle and a bowl of tuna and let it work through its issues in a dark cardboard box for a while.

But Andrew B? Doesn't even ring a bell. Offend harder next time
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

She made some accusations that people called her the c word and ? I remember her being called out on some things and she equally acted childish...but I don't recall anyone taking it to the level she's saying it did - or did I miss something?

Connie? she was questioned on... a trivial thing? then went into full on meltdown.

I think she just had a bit of a temp freakout though, not really worthy of a permaban or "Worst of CA" status..

There have been many crazier posters still active..

    I kinda miss Conniekat.

As a non-student, I take an interest in the postings of people who are progressing through formal programs of whatever sort.

But, I'm with Arshes Nei, did I miss something?

Connie was okay when she wasn't tilting at the flaming death robots.

Ooh! Oooh! Does that mean I'm a flaming death robot? 'Cause I'm totally down with that.

Well, Connie chose to leave and delete all her own details and art.
She can come back any time. She's not banned or anything
    of the sort.

Regardless, she does not have much to do with this rather bizarre
thread. I still don't know what Andrew is apologizing for.

I have no idea what the purpose of this thread is. If it's for gossip and digging up old dirty laundry, I don't like it.
