Sorry for not posting for so long...

Man, I haven't seen this piece in a while... It still looks very busy and art directed. I remember some of the earlier versions when it had more freshness, but that's not really something you can help when you have someone practically making change every stroke. We all have to go through it man...

    Lesson to be learned, right?

I would like to see how the spirit would look if it was more translucent. It feels very solid, but that is nitpickins. Nice work.

Extremely well rendered piece and artistic maestria!
The choices were not yours, already seen and too much "reached by concensus"
But it's not the real Jason Manley...
    We all know it here
I hope for your next commissionned artpiece, the artistic director will let you go where you want to...I'm sure it will be even a lot more impressive !!

Always pleasure to look at your wondeful stuff and read your brilliant artistic thoughts and point of wiew

    Thumbs up

This piece is just great, nothing I can imagine can be added to it.

Just wondering, is this in any relation to the Shadowrun RPG? The picture is very Shadowrunny.

erm, yeah. Just seen this painting, and I like it - even though it's seeming a little stiff, guess the art directing left its scars.

    Jason,

That is the single best piece of art I've ever seen in my life. Whoever was the art director must have been some kind of genius. Even though I don't appreciate art directors who too heavily guide the artist they're working with, all I can say is that this particular art director really seems to know what he was doing. Some people have commented that the subject matter -- brawny guy rescuing woman in distress -- is a little cliche. Perhaps this is true, but your art, combined with his stunning art direction, makes this image vault to an artistic height where the word "cliche" doesn't even register. Where did this art director come up with these amazing ideas? I wish he'd bottle his creativity and sell it on the black market. I'd buy tons. I have no higher dream in life than to some day meet such a person and shake his hand, unworthy though I might be.

    D.F.

now this is the true evil, even more evil than the art director =P....and that evil is the red x where an image should be instead.

please dont let this travesty continue, kill mr red x and put the image back up again

I guess I'm not the only guy who grabbed it when it was around. I'd be happy to host it, but somehow I don't think Jason took it down because of web space.

I spoke to Jason last night. He explained that the image isn't up for technical reasons, which he'll try to rectify soon. But he agrees that the world shouldn't be denied the piece.

It's at the very same place.
Just save it to your harddrive and open it on Photoshop.

    It's a cmyk file.
