Nice work man, i like the first one.
I need that courage.
Hey racca. I would also like to know what your goals or interests are?
IMO, the first two are the strongest. There is a good style there and they're fun to look at. In the other images, your lack of anatomy and drawing skill become pretty obvious, I'm afraid.
I don't know anything about becoming a cartoonist or doing editorials. But it would seem you could cultivate your style and quirky cartoons like the first two images, or you could devote yourself to studying anatomy and the rest of the basics to increase the level of more realistic drawings. Or do both
ey! Thanks for the constructive comments, I really appreciate it. About to have a focus, I still do not know, I'm quite enjoying making drawings in cartoon style, but also think it's cool drawings more realistic, but regardless I focus on drawing cartunescos, I feel I have improved my skills in anatomy. Unfortunately getting drawing cartoons and simple drawings makes me a little relaxed, so I have to go back to drawing something more realistic.
Now I'm currently experimenting with digital painting in photoshop, take a look at a paper I finished recently:
Now a question: Should I have posted these my works on the topic of "sketches"? It seems to me that in fact this part of the forum was to evaluate the portfolio itself, and these are some really random my work.
Does anyone know if it's for me to move my topic to another area? thank you
I think you should make a sketchbook thread, yeah. And put the lion in there. I guess this forum is more for images as a whole and website crit, etc.
But I quite like this lion. It looks good for childrens books(a good start--there are still issues of boring background, anatomy, etc). I would say the bottom is too dark and his legs and feet become quite ambiguous. I can't tell what he's standing on or how he's standing.
You can also put single images into the critique section.
Wow, I can't believe the reaction I'm getting for the logo. Is it the shining effect or the glow that gives it the best appearence?
I don't know anything about becoming a cartoonist or doing editorials.
Your work has a very charming aspect to it! I enjoy very much your character designs.
I'm with Artfix, though; what are your goals and aspirations?
I'd like to see more of your work in context. For example, if your goals include getting into designing for animation, then I would like to see your work in the context of doing professional-quality designs that can be used for animation. That way, we can get a better idea of how you would fit into a professional context. You'll also get much better, more specific critiques when you do.
Your work is good. But does it fit into a professional-level project? I think it could one day.
I'm looking forward to seeing more!
