    Do Da Drawan

Hello conceptart. I'm new to the site but I figured I'd benefit from the sketchbook system, so I'll give it a shot and see if I can improve from this.

These are some silhouettes I did a couple days ago, and a more developed version of the mage character (I'm totally new to this, though I've always wanted to get into character design). Hoping to get some great feedback and critique from you guys

One bird person out of a several I've been playing with tonight, I wasnt having much success with the texture brush when it came to making some feathers, though. Otherwise, I think I'm feeling more confident in putting a random idea on the page

your silhouettes are really rad. and your gestural shading style is wonderful.

all i have to say is that you should keep doing what your doing.

Ah! Finally getting to posting . Been working a TON at art school and took a nice long spring break, but I'm finally back with some more silhouettes. I've realized with the work that Ive been doing recently that I could really benefit from some life studies, specifically in value. So, expect some of those

Thanks Waven- and once I'm satisfied with the state of my studies, I think I will render them.

Here are two relatively quick value studies before I have to head out; the Cube was my 3D project from last semester, and I expect to use it as a model again (I also spent about double the amount of time on the cube study).

Late night study before bed. Feeling more confident in values already . Hopefully I can keep this up, I enjoyed doing it enough to stay up kinda late.. 5:30 AM now, and I have class tomorrow. Yikes. Cool low light study.

Checking in for the night, currently working on a dragon for the CHOW, havnt rendered too many things, this should be interesting. ;p

I also spent a couple hours last night making some rough environments- nothing I'm really satisfied with, though. I'll post an enviro when I feel they're looking alright.

Edited to show progress- I hate it :|.

Since my render was going terribly I wiped it and played with the silhouette a little more, I'll probably have another go at the render sometime this weekend. Also, here is the first environment I've made that I feel alright about
