    Nickeybeats- thats a whole load of ladys, I am liking the composition at the moment, are you going more ominous or just going for a nice looking pool of ladies?

    8smoku8: I love the crab idea.
    Ded: Nice! Maybe she'll look more creepy with blank eyes?

    Experimenting a little with colours now.

    some good starts so far...liking Pixeltuner's and PxelSlayer's atm...

    here's some silhouettes I just finished...you can basically ignore the left side, usually thise asymmetric silhos can still be used but it is a bit harder to form something decent with humanoid creatures....I'm liking the reptilian in the middle the most, perhaps maybe a cross between that one and the winged one on the top right, maybe?

    ...and yes I drew a crab with boobs, you got a problem with that?

    @janemag :i think blank eyes are quite often for creepy stuffs so i should try to make creepy irises, oh and also yours looks sexy
    @pixeltuner: nice colors, love it
    @lancer: looks badass. warrior type siren?
    @BFWs: nice and creepy idea. what if the harp could be hidden in abdomen's fin (like paper fan) so the siren can move easily?

    I for one support the two weeks for a Chow. But thats just because I have relatively little time to participate in a weekly challenge. Its usually (almost) over when I want to jump in. So two weeks would fix that to some extent. But thats just me. It might also take some of the momentum out of the challenge. I think its worth to try it maybe for a few chows and decide after that.

    Pixeltuner: Awesome start! Love the colors and design. Maybe the impact could be bigger if she stares at the viewer instead of a profile.

    Two weeks is too long I think. I've had my fair share of CHOW's where I couldn't finish due to lack of time but that's my own problem. A week to design a character is more than enough. I'd rather ditch the ortho's and bring back the wips because they're just not fun to do and always an afterthought.

    Supervlieg: Thx! I will try it, but right now the whole composition is working to support her looking up and 'singing' as it where.

    Ooh, this sounds like fun, I think I'm gonna try and participate. So, these women have to be irresistible to all these rough men out on the sea. So, although probably a hot naked chick would suffice, there's gotta be other ways to trick 'm, right?
    So I'm thinking Nigella Lawson:
    ChoW#280 :: The Siren
    meets Disney's Ursula:
    ChoW#280 :: The Siren
    Luring the men in with the smell of lovely cooked fresh food, a soft and gentle voice singing songs their ole' mum used to sing. As the sailors approach, the huge mass of tentacles the vile siren hides beneath start to wrap around the ship and before you know it.. it's too late!

    that's the plan, anyway
