Film blends live action and classical animation

    Hi there,

I have worked on several animated sequences for a horror film EXIT HUMANITY (follow it in facebook) last year
which the film is punctuated by

The idea is about an artist (not academic type) who's drawings from his journal become animation.

The animation it self is separated by live action scenes and others that refer historical moments which are more static and more illustration looking.

I wanted to create a rough inky looking style inspired by Goya's caprichos.

here is the clip that combines parts of the animation:

    humm...
it is not like I have expected a bunch of "WOWs" but I really enjoyed working on this animation and always have dreamed about blending live action and animation since I saw Kill Bill (the blending it self wasnt my responsibility unfortunately)

what you animators out there dream about?

I'm no expert but it's looking very nice. There are some strong moments but also a few weaker scenes. Sometimes the sketchy stile looks strong like the moment we are looking at the back of a crowd zooming towards the girl. Al'n'al looking good, enjoyed it.

if you ask me I see only the weaker moments

had to make lots of compromises because of the tight deadline like the frame rate also wanted to avoid 3D as much as possible ...
