Pate5's sketchbook - a new beginning (13.6.2012)
I found my old sketchbook updated very rarely. I've been very lazy last year so I decided that I want to make more art and study more. So I think I need kick myself to do MORE studies and draw draw draw draw. I try to make some progress faster than before, so I thought some kind of "new start" would be nice. I really want to improve. I think I've not made that much improvement lately because I don't have made much art.
I'm pretty sure most of you dont know me. I'm an 17 year old guy from Finland. I love drawing but never studied in any kind of an art school.
I try to update this at least once a week, propably more. I made myself a goal: I'll draw at least three humans from ref each day. I'll also try to make some anatomy studies and a digital painting(at least speedpaint) each week.
Let's get started with this speedpaint I finished in an hour.

Eventually I gave up mainly because I wasn't a master over night.
3 years wasted and now decided to give myself a swift kick in the arse and to push studies out.
I was 16 then and 19 now , Maturity that came with that made me relise that you just have to draw draw draw go through those 10,000 bad drawings (not really but you get the idea) to produce that one drawing you can truly be proud off then look back and be amazed at where you were and how far you have come.
You will get there you just need to conquer that mountain and endure through the marathon.
~ Hard work beats wasted talent.
Doing a little soul searching ^^

Well, it's a month since my last update. I'm a bit disappointed at myself for not doing almost anything last month. But now I'm trying to kick myself moving again and started doing something! I noticed that my sketchbook had already gathered some dust on it o_O
Here's some sketches. Trying to do some more anatomy studies and quick poses to make it more confortable for me. I also drew a face and noticed that I'll need a lot of more practice at this area:
I also started a new digital space art piece. I'm trying to start off with a 3d render and paint over it. I already painted the background in photoshop. The planet was a render I painted over. The ships are totally WIP.
I'd love to hear something. Feel free to drop even one line comments
