I can't find the original image of this guy but there is a lot of fail going on here if you had something to compare it to. ;_; I used to be super accurate with capturing details when using graphite but I've gotten very rusty on this. Doesn't help that I barely have time to refine, hone, and keep up my traditional techniques. Hopefully this will change in the near future.
I have a huge fascination with teeth, mouths, and for some odd reason; rendering fur... so have a 3D speed paint (so far) of my interpretation of Antoine from Archie's Sonic comics. I refuse to let this place become bombarded with Sonic stuff so if you're into that kind of thing I have an entire blog dedicated to it.
This has been sitting in my "need to finish" folder for about a month. I don't know when I will get the time to finish it.
This little dude is part of a political comic that I hope to start sometime soon.
He is supposed to represent a mishmash of alien stereotypes will still holding his own.
Alien (1979: anatomical silhouette)
Grays (stereotype head and lower body shape)
Squid/Octopi (colors, eyes, head)
Marsupial Lion (teeth)
What do you guys think of his design, is there anything that I can do to push it further? Someone mentioned that it reminded them of of a certain someone... :B
I think that I should probably incorporate more squiddy appendages but I'm not sure how to go about it since I want him to be bipedal with more of a mammalian anatomical structure when it comes to the neck down.
Perhaps I should incorporate more aquatic mammalian features to him?
