DaveGarcia: Thanks. It's easy to get lost if you attention is too divided and you end up drawing less because you're searching for "just the right image to study" (at least in my experience). It's a balancing act.

    Ambiguity: Thank you

Some studies of Spartacus Characters. The likenesses are nowhere close though :/

    just checking.. yup still suck.
No underlying linework this time, just blocking in from the get-go. From imagination except looked for a bit of ref on the face when I got stuck. It still looks awkward as flubber though.

Art school acceptance letter came yesterday (omgyesssss).

Speedy compositions. I love what you can get from random brushstrokes.

Studies! Really becoming apparent to me that i have to get my proportions down.
Wondering if this is an appropriate way of learning them. The vertical line in the bottom ones really felt like cheating although it helped me be a lot more accurate.

Really nice progression here my friend! I see some nice volume proportion ( your ability to understand 3d) You should try to complete your enviro studies as they would be really great! Finally, I like a lot the movment and expression of your work keep it up!

BTW could you tell me where you got those 360 model rotated images from your last sketches? thanks ^^!

    Keep up!|

Wavenwater: Thank you . The 360 poses were found at fineart.sk here enjoy haha

Here im trying my hand at thumbnailing for characters. I developed a few which I liked. I think I should be doing more of this.

Same idea with a little guard robot.

Some unreffed sketches. I feel like the anatomy studies are finally paying off a bit since I'm becoming more confident with my imagination stuff. The bottommost girl with the sword is reffed from an artwork by tahra on but I didn't pay much attention to what I was doing at that point.

A few photostudies and an attempt at realistic hair rendering courtesy of Linda Bergvist's tutorial. The two portaits of the same girl were made once using the colour picker directly from the photo and once by eye. Through this I noticed I would always be missing some warmth when judging by eye. I just added an extra bit of red to each colour when I thought I had found it in order to compensate and that worked out fairly well on the top photostudy.

Unfinished things from imagination. Took one of the thumbnails from earlier a little further (barely) not sure where to go with it though.
