    Haven't posted in quite awhile!

I've been super busy, sales of my book The Black Seas of Infinity have been even better than I hoped, and a ton of magazines have been asking for my work. Here is an illustration I did for a This is Horror short story named "Tumblers" and another illustration, one of many to come, from my upcoming collection of horror shorts.

I don't get it? Other than the above painting is probably based off the same movie character whose image I used. There's no text, just the picture you posted, so I'm not sure what, if any, the comment is...

Nigio is being a douchebag. There are similarities sure, but that happens when dealing with a very specific theme. I got hell from a teacher once for coming up with a very similar panel of the Thing(Ben Grimm) in action to a Buscema panel from decades prior. Total coincidence, but it is such a specific common language that commonalities are to be expected.

Alright, well, just for the record, I never intentionally base anything off another artist's work. I think that is highly disrespectful. I do use alot of photo reference, often posing my friends in vaguely similar costumes, in an attempt to capture as much realism as possible, and then use basic artistic elements like perspective, lighting, and focus. At this point, so much has been done, there is probably something similar lurking out there for almost any image.
