Mossi's 3D stuff
Since I'm always lurking here, and severely neglecting my 2D sketchbook, I thought I might post some of what I actually do as a 3D artist.
Starting with something I made for 3D Total's speed sculpting challenge.

A "quick" study of the skeleton.
I'm thinking taking it a bit further though..
I'm thinking, either a plain warrior, or some kind of a lich thing.

As always, I neglect posting in any of my sketchbooks.
But, here's a wee snippet of a character I´m working on and off on my spare time.
Using the skeleton I posted earlier, I'm making a lich king.
But, First pic is his gauntlet, second and third pieces of ornaments and jewelry he keeps, and third, a shoulder guard.
And, I'm going a bit haywire with all dem squiggly lines.

Will daz3d do this as well? This looks sweet!

I honestly don't know a thing about Daz3D. But, if it's got decent modelling tools and some sculpting tools, you could theoretically do this. But, I know that if you want to get your head into 3D for free, Blender is an insanely powerful (often frowned upon) program, which I think you'd benefit more from learning.
Been spending time today making some Alphas, since the whole "random Squiggly Lines" approach is a helluvalot reduntant, and not giving the visual 'pow' this character deserves.
So, Here´s a test (I know I have to fix the 0 position of them, but I'm too lazy to do it now).
I have more alphas to do though, but, I am having fun with it

Very nice work!! I'm glad you posted them. It's much easier to lurk sometimes.

Just a screengrab + quick comp of the finished staff.

Made a magic gauntlet for my lich.

Now, I'm pretty much happy with this guy. Even Tough I slappen a horrendous paintover onto him
I would like to add more stuff to him but, enough is enough (115.000 mill polies, by ZBrush's count)

Quickie to start the day.
I call it Pipsqueak.
August 30th, 2012 #25
holy shit that is a lot of detailed pieces. very clean too. how long did pipsqueak take you?
August 30th, 2012 #26
Yeah, I went a bit overboard with the lich.
Pipsqueak was just a quick sketch. About 2 hours.. But I suffered a crash about 2/3way in.. Lost a.bit there.

I've pretty much finished this dude, except for posing him, and putting him on a pedestal.
