Wow, I didn't do any anotomy at all yet so I can't really tell but you seem to be really good and learning fast I think drawing manga or comic chars at an early age helps a lot, getting creative and also anatomy a bit.

Too bad my parents never allowed me to watch animes on tv... I think everything would be alot easier now :/

Thanks for watching my sb btw, I saw you in the current viewers at the bottom of the page ^^

16 eh? If I saw this when I was 16 I'd be green with envy, just goes to show that art is timeless. xD

Your anatomy is looking really good, guess it shows that all that practice that you've been doing has payed off. You've actually motivated me to do some drawings today so thank you
    Keep up the good work!

Edit - just seen Harbingerofillrepute's comment! and i am definitely envious Guess it just means I've got some catching up to do!

oh, I thought you stoped posting, but in fact my subscription was lost somehow. Sorry for not posting for such a long time!!

Great how much studies you make!! Maybe finish one ore the other too
For the anatomy it sometimes looks like parts of the body were glued on. Maybe work on the transitions and look the up exactly again

    keep posting mate!!

Prototypt': no problem at all and you're right, i'm really having trouble with understanding the connections between the bodyparts. hope to get that right as soon as possible ^^

some things i notice off the bat, you have really good studies and those studies are in Bridgman style or ... a style other than your style. It looks like you have trouble putting studies into practice, i have the same problem.
but seriously WOW I have a feeling you have boundless potential! Those leg studies on the first page... all of them are incredible!!!!!!
your shading and line work is SO neat and well done. also idk why but this drawing caught my eye i liked it a lot.

your studies are getting better with each post so keep doing that.
put them into practice..as in.. not drawing in the oldy bridgman style and in your own style, but still using what you learned from the studies.
I really like your imaginative drawings a lot. keep it up

Sporus: thank you so much for your kind words. things like this just help me to keep practicing instead of giving up now. especially since i sometimes tend to feel bad about my drawings and progress. i'll try to keep it up and hope to improve.

You're doing good, no worries!! Many people have this problem. I myslef have days when I think "My work pays.." and days where I'm like "My stuff still looks so goddamn crappy.."

Though doing much studies is good for the progress you should finish one or the other work too. I don't know your possibilities, but maybe try to create a picture that you would want money for, or that you would give others as birthday-present or sth. Just something you are proud of. Sometimes I look at my stuff and think "hm, it's not that bad after all" and that's still better than thinking "I'm just bad" ^^

Ahh, I hope you know what I mean xD

Prototypt': yea, i know what you mean. i just think it's a little bit hard for me to do something like a full painting because there's a great chance for me to get aggressive about my ugly work so i just quit it. sometimes i'm doing cartoony-looking commissions like that but i guess this doesn't help with what i'm actually practicing. but well. maybe i'll try a painting or something soon

    so here's today's mess.
vacations are over but i try to keep practicing daily, though

My advice would be to work a lot with things around you - like get a skull to draw from Creates a better understanding for light etc.

You are doing really great, and drawing like this at just 16 and with your work ethic, I think you can go far if you want to. If you have trouble finishing stuff, try doing a bargue drawing or two, and try to get it perfect. They can really help build patience, although they are pretty boring to do!
