Double Fine Adventure -- Documentary and Concept Art

In case you guys missed it:

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...fine-adventure

The kickstarter has really taken off. I'm not super interested in the game as much as I am interested in the making of and concept art they might share. Thought some of you guys might find it interesting too.

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this to turn into an actual game. Hoooooly shit.

Psychonauts is one of the best. Games. Ever. I trust this will own, but... point & click? We'll see, I guess.

    Really??? I wish.

They've hit the front page of reddit several times. I really doubt they need more money. Forbes and a bunch of people have blogged about the insanity of this project:

I love the idea of crowdsource funding and am happy to see things starting to change. Hopefully we'll start to see even more projects going this route.

Maybe one day we will have a ton of indie games funded in this manner and there will be less risk for the developers and artists involved. Perhaps we will live to see the creators of the games being properly compensated for their efforts instead of depending on the big studios. I understand many people are happy working for big studios but I think more often than not the conditions are quite terrible in the gaming industry.

If I was associated with them I wouldn't be spamming here, I would be out celebrating

    No kidding!
1.5 mil is awesome for a project that many execs probably said "Hell no, point click adventures don't have a market" to.

    Good for Double Fine.

Fuck yeah, I grew up with point and clicks. If Double Fine could recapture the magic of Day of the Tentacle I will be so freaking happy. I won't be getting my hopes too high, though.
