I've chosen a selection from each of the sketchbooks I keep:

and 2 exercises I did today...

my teacher tells us that when we hide part of a known shape, it becomes a totally new shape to the mind and so it becomes easier to avoid letting imagination kick in.

    Hi Lilya

The only thing I can suggest is to do more fundemental studies of the basic forms (Cubes,Spheres,Cones...) and learn from them,
Like the recent still life studies of the cup and cloth. If you do more of those then some of the other users on these forums wont get angry and bang on about proportion and anatomy!! jk
Also (more importantly) you establish a better form in anatomy as well as other things,
I gather that your taking art classes
are you doing figure drawing sessions aswell?

    Keep going!

I did some other shape studies today, I just posted the ones that sucked less xD
did some close to geometric objects, like my pencil sharpener, glass, my feet and stuff.

and answering to you question: I did a bunch of those in class, but it was a long time ago... and I never got an "awesome" result in those. I dunno I find it too boring to draw -__- but I obviously need more practice :/

following everyone's advice, I went deep back into pencils and paper and all.

today I did some pose studies for a change... and got hands in Loomi's figure drawing, I will give it a decent try. I promise. I haven't even started on Loomi's yet, so bear with me a bit...

so plz tell me again. this is going to help me fix my anatomy problems right?
cuz i think I might be at elast a bit better.
