@Dominicque1 - Awesome, I had an amazing experience at Swedish Academy of Realist Art. Highly recommend. Which textures are you referring to?

Hey dude, glad to see you back. The skin tones and brushiness on that skin is nice. I can give you some feedback too if you want. Like, the right hand (our right) is a little wonky, might benefit from you sketching over it a little to fix the construction / perspective.

Maybe a wall of text, just organizing my thoughts.

Aright, checking in to CA. Got a part time job at the atelier I was studying at, as an assistance teacher. I work with first and second year students, helping them in their training to draw and copy bargues and casts accurately to life which is a lot of fun. It's only part time, so I have time to work on personal stuff as well. Currently I have that big drawing of a guy holding another dead guy as well as some other minor things, but that's sort of the main thing. Got a series planned for that one in similar theme and feeling. Money's a bit tight at the moment, but I'll find out a way to get the canvas so I can transfer it. Been procrastinating it for a little while but was reminded recently by a friend to not be a slave to my materials, make it work somehow.

In my head I've been thinking that if I do quick but attractive still lives I could afford the canvas which does make some sense, but it's so god damn easy to fall into the pit and getting stuck there. I love doing still lives, they're a great challenge and they look attractive so definitely no hate. However, t's not personal in the same way the larger piece is. It's not the same message or story I want to process and share. If larger storytelling figurative work is the squats of my art, then still life would be my calf press. Something you do to assist the main lift (great gym-analogy William). Not feeling guilty for painting still lives though, if it gets me painting it's worth doing, always.

@sone_one - Thanks dude Appreciate it!
