Any way to remap the Alt colour picker key?+Rsi in keyboard hand

Hi, I'm developing some pains in my thumb joint from constantly moving my thumb from space bar to the Alt key for picking colours.

I can't find a way to change these 'push and hold' short cut keys. Is there any way to remap the Alt colour picking tool to another key?

I know I can map the eye dropper to another key, but it's not the same as press and hold.

On a related note, I'm curious if people get sore joints/hands on their Keyboard/button pressing hand. I was always concerned with the wellbeing of my drawing hand, but that's been fine, it's my keboard hand that is getting sore lately.

    Cheers :]

Get a gaming pad like the nostromo or the logitech one, I use the regular n52, cost me around 18 Euros back then and it's still going. Unfortunately Belkin 64bit support is a bit daft but it's manageable.

are you able to bind all sorts of shortcuts to the game pad? even then 'sticky' keys? like spacebar and alt (colour picker) defaults ?

Looks like a great idea though, thanks !

I use a product by x-keys. They make several keypads with re-positionable and re-programmable buttons. You can map any keys as well as press and hold or even a specific duration. I've had mine for years.

Everything, keys, shortcuts, mouse buttons, mouse wheel, macros... The only thing you can't do is macros for the weird Photoshop shortcuts like the ones that require you to hover the stylus while pressing keys on the keyboard while you do a backflip in mid air.
