    Blue Monkey Boots!!

do you think that browing through forums has a negative affect on creativity?

looking at other people's art and seeing how good it is just makes you more depresed on the bad points of your own. or does it help you creativity by giving you more ideas? whatd ya think?

I find that looking at great works, like what you see from everyone on here, just inspires me to work harder, so I can bridge the gap in ability. It's momentarily disheartening when you see people who are years younger than you, who are years ahead in ability, but, again, it just drives me harder toward my goal. Plus, even the non-masterful stuff you see can help you recognize problems in your own work, that perhaps you didn't really notice before because you were too close to them.
