    Very cool stuff, the tonal qualities of your work's what gets my the most, the balance and value of the darks versus the highlights. Keep it up!

    To me, this is inspiration on a high level. Especially the pencil sketches. And if I shall go into even closer particulars, I'd say the top right corner sketch of a man's face i profile view in #32 is really good.

    strkja - Thanks!!!
    JaneMag - Thanks a lot! It's funny how we people see stuff differently, I actually don't really like that sketch.

    And, I decided to keep rendering that chick. I feel like whenever I render for more than three-four hours the pieces start losing their magic. Still trying to figure out how some people make these extremely well rendered paintings and still have them be dynamic and good. advice welcome on that ye :>

    Loverly stuff.

    As far as trying to not loose rhythm as you work, i find that as i render i have to remember that all im doing is consolidating shapes into being more precise, and so you have to kind of identify why its dynamic in the first place and preserve that. It's easy to spend ages detailing, and change something without remembering why you made it like that in the first place. i think a good example is under her left breast there was a nice sharp line, and it added flow to that, but you removed that in polishing and that area is a bit weaker because of it.

    Another thing i do is i have layers showing my progress at the bottom of my psd's which i alt click on the eye, and i flick between new and old and try and work out what changes were for the better and what ones were worse.

    Man, very nice pencils in there. I also like the colours and edges on that rendering of the woman. Keep that up.

    Muz - Thanks for the suggestions dude! I definitely keep version layers, too.

    ManHands - Sir, I am honored to serve as an inspiration! Thank you.

    FUSHANDCHUPS - Thanks a lot!

    merl1n - Thanks dude (:

    Okay so here's that lady, I kinda gave up on it, did a ton of experimenting, learned some stuff, got frustrated with other stuff, for what it's worth;

    Now I've been doing a lot of auto sketches lately, most in pencil which I'll upload tomorrow or something. Here's one study I did from a book called Design Sketching which a friend of mine was kind enough to lend me. Took some sweet time on this; like 5 hours

    Brilliant studies! The Rockwell colors are (to my eyes) nearly spot on! You captured the spirit of it anyhow. Haha, is that a Col-Erase I spy? I love doing figure drawings with those. They really force you to be more sensitive to line quality. Great portraits as well. You really pay attention to the form's planes - an area which I struggle. >_<

    Maybe you don't like the image quality of your camera (phone?), but I can still see how great your studies are!

    @bobtail - thanks muchhhh! :>

    Took one of the thumbnails, drew some cleaner lines, and started rendering, I started out with colors, but as I stumbled into too many problems, I decided to work with value only and perhaps add color later. Let's see where this goes in a couple more sit downs
