    Daz Studio free

Just In case anyone is interested Daz3d is offering daz studio 4 pro, bryce 7, and hexagon for free for a limited time.

The site is getting smashed and you have to sign up for their newsletter but its over 800 retail of software. Took me about 30 minutes or so to get registered and finally get the link to my SN and product.

Are they free forever if you download them now or just free for a period?

I'm pretty sure its free forever. You go through the regular product order page, no mention of trial. It might be a test to see if the program will go free for students or something like that like max and maya.

If they're giving it away for free, will this end up like Antics where they sold out and no one could access even what they'd bought on a new computer? Meaning you can't ever restore your computer to factory settings ever.

well they give you a dl link and a SN#. So I Imagine even if they take it off the site at some point you could copy the file to a harddrive or burn on a disk (don't know how large it is). I actually surprised its still for free, usually for limited time things like this its over in a few hours. Their website also holds your sn and dl link, so it will be available their at least until the company takes it off. Then I imagine their are mirror links of the trial all over that will be their for a while.

It's free for about a month.
DAZ Studio 4 was just released less then 6 months ago, priced at about $400.
Now they're tying to push it for free... as it didn't seem to be taking off as expected, so they're looking for ways to hook people into using it, and buying the content they sell.
