sculptor - open for commissions- postin more pictures soon

My name is Jareth Bustamante and I am a sculptor. I have sculpted for almost two years and I am currently open for commissions. I love to focus on sculpting things from comic books, and sculpting creatures. Any questions about commissions, you can e-mail me at B1938DC@yahoo.com or check my deviant art account at B1938DC.Deviantart.com. (There was a problem with a previous thread and it was not released. So I am starting a new one.)(Couple of nails popped off of stitch- easy fix)

Thanks man. It means a lot when you say that. I have been working hard trying to improve on craft, techniques, and speed. I have sculptures in progress, but I will post those later though. As well as sculptures being planned.

It has been a while since I have seen you. Are you going to come by Russ's sometime this upcoming semester? I hope you are doing well.

    Hey Jareth...

You've done some really nice sculpts there mate.. i'm very impressed!! I really do like that sculpting model 'eroche' piece you have there.. its very nicely done and i think you should get a few of them casted and sell as many as possible!! People who are learning to sculpt are always looking to buy those type of sculpting aids to help them understand anatomy and help them with their piece.. I HAD ONE!!!

I hope you start getting some commissions soon though mate..

    Good luck!!!!!

Thanks GedTasker. If you love these sculpture wait until I post pictures of the sculptures that I am working on now. I will post these pictures on Monday Feb. 6th. Also, I have been thinking about making another ecorche figure. The one in the picture is about 11 inches tall. The next one will be more compact and better.(that is for another time sometime this year maybe in the next few months).

Thanks Mah ' Crub. It was not intentional but a lot of people do refer the plant monster to Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors. I will post more pictures soon of more recent work.

I can't wait either, however I need to make sure that predator and Batman (or alien)which is going to go against predator are superb because I am going to submit it to the student show.

This is going to be a scene between Batman and predator. I have been thinking about making predators base non city, so that I could make an Alien going against predator. I am not sure yet.

Awesome work dude keep it up. Just a quick question though. Which would be better/more inexpensive for someone just wanting to expirement sculpy or clay? Probably a completely ignorant question I know lol...

    Check out my SKETCHBOOK!

JBogart: Oil based clays like are great for small sculptures because a lot of details can be sculpted and then baked so no kiln required. Water based clays are good for larger projects because it is inexpensive however it needs to be WED clay. WED clay is water based clay that has sculpting potential near that of oil based clay. This kind of clay can't be fired and is usually molded then casted. I would say working with both is a great way to experiment. Smaller scale use sculpey and larger scales water based clay, so practice with both. Overall I love sculpey.
