Hey, good sketches Xen, I like that last one alot.
Keep up the good work... and keep updating
you weren't kidding about small, judging by the holes and rings of your sketchbook. meaning, you seem to work small. cool sketches. you get really dark values when you want to.
nice start mang. I like what you're doing with that blue pen (blue pencil?) in the cloth study and the lit nudes. nice work!
thanks guys. its actually just a regular mechanical pencil. it just turns out blue on the scanner.

i love your stuff.
you seem to have a good grasp of anatomy, but your facial features get a little blobular. maybe study the planes of the face, and then you'll be better at putting a face in perspective.
other than that, wow. great work. you like egon schiele dont you?
hey everyone (who reads this), im REALLY REALLY sorry for not updating as frequenty as most people do, but hopefully that will change soon. until then, here is some new stuff
xia - thanks man, theyre not really life drawings though, i have never taken any life drawing classes yet. but that will be happening very very soon!
complete2 - thanks for the crit, i agree. im currently practicing to improve the way i draw faces so hopefully you will see some improvement there soon.
i have to admit though, i never heard of egon schiele before you mentioned him, but i find some of his stuff very interesting, thanks for the tip

here is me
here's another one, 30 minutes from ref. i would really appreciate some c&c.
50 minutes, from ref
nice work! i really dig your technique..
I'm really digging some of this stuff, but I don't understand what's going on with the enlongated torso picture. Work more with your tone's relationships to each other, and contrast. Keep going.
N & B
thanks guys, and thanks for the crits one2hit, i will keep that in mind
i finally got my hands on some cream coloured paper.
this one sucks but it still took pretty long (50 minutes) because i couldnt get some things right.
the past week has been pretty rough on me so only 2 drawings for now (i really hate myself for not drawing as much as im supposed to)
from ref, about 30 minutes
very nice work. thanks for the posts.
Lovely stuff Xen, you're very skilled at anatomy, especially da ladies, in odd or provacotive positioning. Your hatching technique is great and something I'm sure to be lookin' at as I try to figure it all out, very inspiring and very beautiful work. Some of your women really almost have that pinup girl feel, maybe check out some of the calender girl paintings of the 40's and 50's, several of your sketches have that same sort aura to them. Awesome work!
keepiru - thanks man, i love the pinups from that era
heres another quicky i didnt really feel like finishing. from ref
this was done while listening to "hands around my throat" by death in vegas
i ran out of the cream colored paper. so, i bought some new paper, these are different, but still very comfortable to draw on
this was done while listening to "come to daddy" by aphex twin
no ref again
