    A beginning

    Hello all!
My name is Fredrik and I am 15 years old. I used to have a sketchbook here at ca, but I just wasn't able to keep up with it, so now I'll give it another try! My goal is to post every day. Thats my goal, but don't expect too much

Because I tended to draw a lot for one week, and than do other stuff for the rest of the year, I just recently joined a course in aquarell (watercolours is what I believe you'd call it)
There were two reasons for that: I am terrible at colours and I just need to keep drawing and quitting the breaks.

Please! Comment and criticize, so I can learn from my mistakes!

But enough talking, here is some of my work I did at the course.

And some failed landscapes.. Which seem to be unturnable

    And some, over-a-year-old, digital stuff.

    Some more stuff

Here's my first study of a skull I did yesterday. It turned out a bit messy, but I can't complain.

    Eyes

Here are some eyes I did. The top one I did first, and the bottom I drew second. After looking through all the different sketchbooks, I can't help but feel out of place Well maybe one day..

I going to do more studies, and am thinking of working my way through 'The Complete Bridgeman.' Any advice?

    More stuff

I decided to do some gesture drawing today, something I have never done. It immediately became clear to me that it needs work. And a lot of it. Here are two of the pages.
The left I did in 30 seconds each and the right in 1 minute. Please crit and comment if you see anything that I should do differently! (everything lol)

After some gestures, I found out that my knowledge of the human form is very limited, so I did some quick studies (pretty much sketches) because I didn't have the patience after those 30 second drawings

Today I took a quick peek into Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life and read the first couple of pages. I tried to use the info in some more gestures:

And than I tried some other stuff:

And noticed that my proportions were off, so I took my time on the next one (not really as much as I should have.) I got the feeling I'm rushing everything

And I found an ebook by Loomis! Going to study heads from here on Partly bridgeman, partly loomis
