Hello my name is Mark I am from Canada. I am currently a university student studying general things like english and geography...but I am also in a couple art courses. My goal is to eventually go to a school where I can study art full time.
When I was younger I was always drawing and wanted to work as a comic artist or cartoonist. Up until age 14 I drew religiously and then one day I just stopped drawing.
I am now 28 and took up the pencil two years ago. It started as a curiosity of how far my skills had deteriorated but I found after the first few months of painfully bad drawing I got pretty decent at it. I try not to think where I would be if I kept at it since I was 14 and try to look at what I can learn NOW.
This sketchbook will give me the avenue to chart my progress and to get feedback ( I look forward to feedback because there are some great people on this site) It should also motivate me to do bigger and better pieces.

A few pages from my sketchbook.
drawn from life in ink.
Hope these are not too big..is it better to thumbnail them?
You do great!
i like those ink sketches from life. you've got a nice, loose stroke.
Keep it up!

I go to a life drawing session once a week and have not had much instruction in this area. Ive studied life drawing on the net and have asked people in the class for tips. The last ink drawing is for a school project. Her nose is not that big! its these dam ink pens...you get one shot at a line and if you mess up it's there forever.
sorry about the randomness
comments anyone? would love some feedback, thanks
