Lightbulb Why don't we have any casual, thread-based art games going on here?

I know Apedogs, for example, have the KILL MY CHARACTER thread that's still going on, albeit slowly. Oh, and they used to have a Draw My Character thread that went fairly well, and a Pass the Panel thread that didn't get far, but was interesting while it lasted. Why don't we already have something like that going on? Would anyone be opposed to having one started (and if not, in which forum section)?

    Stuff like:

-if poster above draws ____, then next poster draws ____,
    -[verb] the [noun] above
    -The Red Line
-etc., the more creative the better.

    I don't see why not. /shrug

That's less spontaneous and more strategic gaming, though. Not quite the same...

Those were awesome threads.. I feel like the draw my character thread was the best though and has the highest chance of success.
    I'd dig it.

I have a feeling community activities would be the most appropriate forum..

But there's way less traffic in that section, so there's a bigger chance that these thread games will fall flat. I was tempted to try making one here in the lounge, since it's more of a casual thing. Well, in comparison to those Weeklies, anyway.

    Edit: Yeaaahhh support!

Very good point. Well if that's all good that'd be awesome. Here or maybe some kind of collaborative sketchbook thread thing in the sketchbooks forum, idk.

I absolutely love those ideas!!! As someone being very reluctant to participate because my contributions would probably be a mood killer, I am currently solely all in for being entertained... so I have to vote for the panel-version too (was fun until the last few images). Although I know the character-ones are probably more artistically challenging

Drawing a Nibru interpretation should be a TAD requirement.
    My Sketchbook

And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.

Sounds fun. However at one point there was some Light vs. Dark epic battle kind of thing as a weekly activity which I forgot the name of, that seems to have faded into obscurity... Then I seem to recall a thread where people made characters that battled each other. It kinda went out of hand quickly though. And of course Randis animu manga.

Well we had this for a while but it was pretty chaotic, albeit fun while it lasted.
The problem there was that people felt like starting a storyline, introducing something or someone but then ofcourse that doesn't work as soon as you can't post anymore for a longer period of time, and you have people waiting for others to do something first etc.

Well, I'm still hoping for a zoomquilt thread to come up (or you know, a finish my picture tag game of sorts), but the kill my character sounds pretty fun too.
