    Heres a sketch
    --
A lot of people have been commenting that my figures are very stiff, so im attempting to make a dynamic pose with this sketch, i didnt really worry much about correct anatomy and proportions but about the dynamics and perspective.there are a lot of errors i know, and I may fix them later.

sketch of an idea for CHOW, but thought itd be cool to sketch up the idea just for fun(wasteland bard w/weapon instrument),hes still meant to be a lil cartoonish/ characterized, haha think i went a little overboard cause his head seems tiny compared to his neck

=not really trying to make a badass final to make it into chow finals, just having fun with the idea.

Alright, Im going to go ahead and say that you're a hell of allot better than me but theres a few things I noticed that could use some looking into. Like in post 182, the style looks like you're going for realistic in some parts but then other parts look a bit flat and cartoon like. Not that theres anything wrong with that, it's just that it seems like you could be doing allot better with a more defined feel or style with each piece. For example in that same post the elf's nose looks kinda flat especially at the point where it meets with the eyebrows, there seems to be a bit of a dimension missing for it. Alright, well now that Im done blathering on to someone further along than my self in the "skill tree" I'll shut my trap (please forgive my spelling errors, Im not used to the key board Im using so i might hit keys by accident)

FEEL FREE TO BASH OR LIKE MY SKETCHBOOK (either or is great 4 me)

Great progress! so I know as boring as it sounds, everything stems from your ability to draw. I'd suggest forcing yourself to do as much pencil rendering (or pen) as you can. It'll really give you an idea of how values work.

It doesn't have to be boring either, once you realize how much you can do with the pencil you'll use it a lot more and for your own imaginative stuff

hey medusoid thx for the comment and advice i appreciate it man, and im working on the my definition of things, it really seems a lot easier working out those dimensions in just value only, so sometimes i lose a few things i would have noticed in a black and white piece that i do in color, but im working on that, and im not that good in the skill tree , got plenty ways to go.

liquorbleu if you look through my past pages youll see plenty of pencil work, its all ive done until last year i got a tablet, it may seem like i dont do much pencil work but my scanner is broken so all my hundreds of drawings ive been doing recently i havent been able to post any of them..... :{ but yea , i love using pencil
