Finally got a WACOM (chrimbo present). Interesting to use, takes a little practice it would seem. Still prefer pencil but enjoying experimenting with it. Here are the first few doodles.

Bit more practice with the Wacom, slowly getting used to it. Still doesn't 'feel' right yet. Hopefully that will come with practice.

Really like the sketchbook work. Is that a digital paintover, or how are you getting those lovely colours in your sketchbook?

Still learning to sketch with the WACOM rather than pen/pencil. I am getting used to it but the 'feel' is still off slightly. This is however beginning to be out weighed by the larger range of choices [colour/brushes etc]

More practice on the Wacom. Getting better and enjoying it more now. The amount of freedom it allows is great and while I am not exploiting it to any where near its potential yet I can see the possibilities.

    Hi!

I like the last two posts. It would be nice to see them more developed.

Im not going to tell you what to draw, thats up to you but just try to get something out of every sketch. I also believe that being more careful, even when you sketch, makes you learn better.

    Good luck.

I love your sketches! Getting into digital looks really difficult, if you find yourself struggling with it check out CtrlPaint for some nice tutorials on digital painting.

Work during the week limits the amount of time I have to sketch to about half an hour a day.

YOU SIR will go so so far if you learn to tighten your technique over the next couple months/years. Which you owe to yourself. Your imagination is freaking sick.
Really cool ships/characters/creatures/etc, and I love that desert dragons idea. Please keep it up. I'll be watching in wonder :3

Continuing the Gormenghast theme for the moment. The imagery from the books is incredible.

^^ Thank you all for your encouragement. The consensus to do some more refined images is apparent. I will look to do so over the next couple of days. I would say I find it the most difficult part as there is always so many ideas that I want to get down.

    An example as such.

I will work on some of the above images and see how they turn out.
