I'm a beginner but I think drawing is a lot of fun and I want to become better so criticism is very welcome, let it rip!

I draw quite a lot on paper too but I don't have a scanner or a good camera so I can't post it here I'm afraid. I will do more digital spontaneous sketch stuff though.
Borrowed my parent's scanner so i could upload some traditional sketches. The last is my own idea for an armour for the character Tywin Lannister from the A Song of Ice and Fire books.
Supposed to resemble Blade Runner but his face turned out a bit too oblong.

Nice start! try to increase you value range. You have some lights and then alot of the same value. trow in some darks. Keep it going!

Nice jump on heads between #6 and #7.
Nouge- Thanks, yes I noticed that too, #6 was sloppily done and when i try to do likeness from a reference I somehow lose the proportions easier than when i do faces from imagination like in #7. I generally draw more from imagination so I guess drawing accurately from reference is an artistic muscle I have to strengthen more.
JackGriffin- Thank you! Yes now that you mention it the black looks a bit too strong. Some of the value in my traditional sketches is lost in the scanner I'm afraid, but you are absolutely correct in that a lot darker values could be used. Ironically the issue in my traditional medium sketches is opposite to that of the issue in my digital ones. You're remarks are very much appreciated, you're a gentleman and a scholar!
A study of a concept art piece of one of the Pendleton twins from the video game Dishonored
Photography study of artist and musician Billy Childish
Good stuff, but keep doing studies. Studies of all kinds of things! still lifes, people, building, plants etc..
I've also found it helpful to do work from life, since cameras can distort things, and its good to learn how to translate a 3d object into 2d by yourself.
Keep up the great work!

Quick sketch from reference.
Whale monster from imagination.
Did a quick study of a Sinix video where he paints faces. Didn't have time to clean it up properly so it looks pretty bad. I do feel like I learned something though.
Also the first three studies for this week's Spartan camp.
