    Acolyte's Journey - Sketchbook

    Hya everybody,
since there's no more forum thread for the beginners, I'll saying 'hi' to all of you here. The time has come for me (or I cam to it) to learn the intricates of the drawings, paintings and other things.
A little bit info about me. I'm a games programmer and a student at Charles Sturt University here, in Australia, working casually and trying to use most of the time playing computer games.
Lately I was reading a little book called "The sucess is a journey, not a destination". It has inspired me to do what I've long been dreaming of - to draw, like some of you guys, those wonderful and magnificent sketches and images.
So, I decided to learn it. Why the heck not?
On my way to a better artist, I am asking for your help, constructive (or not) C&C, and a wise advice.

So, next time and afterwards, I will be posting my sketchbook pages right here, just for you and others to judge my progress.

Thank you and may the pencil be with you.

Postscript: if you are interested in what I am doing as a programmer, visit my web page at Ionware Productions

    Heh

Well, sorry for myself not posting here, I just had a rough week
All of my art is mostly programming and martial, so let's give it a try with a new art.
Remember, I'm an absolute beginner, I've been drawing stuff in school ten or more years ago, so take it easy

    Thank you

Thank you for the warm words, TheUbermind. I've got this book called "The beginner's guide to professional drawing" that basically teaches the mere basics (lines, circles, hatches), and after it introduces the concept of 3D into the drawing of a simple sphere or a cube.
I'll be reading it and drawing from it (posting it here) so you may tell me what am I doing right or wrong.

    Thanks a lot.
This is a great community website, I never doubted that.
