    Gnomon for Graphic Design Artists?

Is there a similar service to Gnomon DVD's but for graphic design/web design? I know Lynda is out there but I find they usually focus too much on the software use rather than theory (typography, color theory, composition, etc).

    Thanks

Found something. Safari Books Online has a few videos. I'm giving their trial a go... I think it has very few titles but it is the closest I have come to actual 'theory' on graphic design videos. Plus they have tons of books .

You should find yourself some books on Amazon or regularly get yourself design magazines such a Computer Arts or something like that. Getting a regular design magazine will be good because you get to read the ideas and opinions of designers every month.

I agree with what you are saying about Lynda and I can see a massive difference with what Gnomon put out, but they are both important. The thing is, you just have to play around and find out what works for yourself I think.

Having said that, and I haven't checked either, I wonder if "TAD" (the Art Department) do any Graphic Design related theory classes...

In regards to graphic design theory, I would recommend any books by Paul Rand, I found his essays really opened up my perspective
and provoked my thinking regarding my own work. If you are unable to purchase, then his official website offers a number of his essays
    as PDFs.

    Good luck
