Your faces are really expressive. I like some of the shapes going on... the painted rendered parts vs the line-art parts is interesting.
The latest one the soldier girl is really cool.. I don't know if I like the photo in the background though... maybe just repaint that by hand so it's cohesive with the style of the rest of your lovely character?
Nice progress, I realy like the Blood elf!
Hey there! I'm utterly amazed by the sheer number of drawings in post #37. You're certainly serious about this haha!
I like your character drawings, they've all got a very nice gesture and flow going. The Blood Elf is my favourite because of the design (love those boots!) and the flowing lines. However I think you've got a structural problem in most of your full body drawings. I see you're tackling the issue with all those figures I mentioned but since the last figure you posted also has structure issues perhaps this helps.
I see you think in 3D most of the time (for example the shoulder armour is properly positioned, the breasts...) but some things slip by your radar. I recommend you do some figure drawings with boxes and "beans" only (watch Proko's "bean" video on youtube, it teaches how to simplify the torso in a simple bean shape). Best of luck!
P.S: You asked for critique on the Sci-Fi portrait piece but I can't really see anything wrong with it. I really like it!
Shoulder to the wheel, my friend!
My sketchbook - Harsh critique always welcome!
Thank you to you both for your replies! Thank you Echo!
@Dina2342 - I never expected any replies at all on my thread since the last person posted ages ago! Thanks so much for the in-depth insights, I really appreciate you taking the time to critique me, and communicate such truths about that piece. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you have said, admittedly some of the flaws I had caught myself, but you make some very good points, and I need to take greater care to head them.
Since doing the blood elf piece, and after about 50 or so gesture studies, I came to realise rhythm more than ever (that is, gestural flow), and as such, I have been taking greater care with my newer works to ensure I am both more accurate (anatomically, even though stylised), and more believable in them.
Once again, thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!!!

good to see you doing poses, that is one of the weakest points in your work here
also try to create texture is your landscapes! (with the brush not with an overlay I mean)
keep up the good work!

<mildly sarcastic remark that seems a little cutting at first read, but contains wisdom and is really rather funny>
