    Mistress of the Forest

I drew it as a gift to my girlfriend. It's a picture of her, so you guys don't stare too much

    Done in Photoshop 7

It's better than I've done, but I will say that she looks a bit... plastic? Very Photoshopped. Was the girl done from a reference photo?

    Thanx for the comments. :chug:
I did used a reference photo (not traced tho) so I think the leg is fine.

one should listen to crits..other peoples thoughts can help you in your own work...

the foot is not properly structured and looks off because it does not sit back in space as it should. look at the edges in bouguereaus or sargents paintings...soft edges can help things fall away or out of focus. if it was not so late i would do a bit of a paintover. (honestly...both feet still need work)

something that might help....the hand that is hidden...show a few fingertips coming around the side of that tree limb. it will help to show where her arm is in space. you do not need to slavishly copy from the photo...you can move things around to make your image stronger.

the flesh could stand to use some additional colors..subtle...see the works of bouguereau to see what I mean.

nice attempt...she looks like a beautiful girl...i am sure she is happy which is all that really matters with something like this.

    Hi, Jason.
    Thank you for the comments.

IT IS too late to change anything, I already, gave it to her along time ago. But even if I could I wouldn't change it, it was my first digital picture so its like an indication for me of my progress.

BTW Jason, I always wanted to tell you that you are one of my favorite artists. I really love your works. :chug:

    Thanx again
