    I find myself studying your work, and all the works in "It's finally finished!", as well as the Critique thread to study how people do stuff, since some of my own art has become stale, lackluster, and (most worrisome) amateurish. I'm not practicing enough.

    It seems that you have the answer. Every one of those problems can be fixed with practice, so just keep at it. There will always be times when things aren't going well, and you don't want to practice. When I fight through those moments is usually when I discover the most.

    the first artwork's head isnt correct because its to wide the sword should be from the inside and not shown from the outside , look howmuch space the sword takes and you can still see his nose.. you should correct that

    dmo0113 - That was intentional. It is to split him into two people, yet still one, the silhouette still reads as one person. The sword was used as a kind of graphic element too. Like if it was a book, that could be the spine.
