Killer posts so far, looks like you have a firm grasp on the major skills. In terms of your question about being a jack of all trades, my experience with the "professional world" so far (not art-specific) has been that the larger the company the more specialized you would want to be. The benefit is that once you get into one of those positions (no easy task in itself), you usually can sit tight for quite a while. The potential downfall is that you can become "useful" only for that task and if you ever found yourself out of work it could hurt you down the line being behind the curve in other areas. Small and even some medium size places will highly value somebody with a vast skill set as it means they can get out of one hire. It's no set rule but something I've seen personally in my own line of work, civil engineering, which can be quite a production line type environment in larger firms.

Keep up the great work, your definition of "study" is much further along than mine.

    oh. ma. gawd.
This sketchbook is 2 pages long and its already one of my favourites.
Your figures have such beautiful pose and line, the way you work with colour is so sick, gives everything a lot of energy and that first piece is just so bad ass, the composition and the movement and bpoelsfoeisfnsefs.

    Carry in posting. x

Fabulous SB, I love your use of colour. Also loving that dwarf sketch - your finals have a lot of life to them, but the sketch does in a different way, it's very gestural. You should post more sketches. =D

The colours on that dwarf picture are superb! The combination of greens and reds are fantastic, you certainly have a good grasp of shifting hues.

    What the hell?!

I've just stumbled with your gallery few days ago and decided to watch it and absorve some knowledge, since besides the dynamic compositions and everything you have stunning color compositions...

... and only one day after creating my account there I've already stumbled on your work again!

    Sir, you're an inspiration. Congratulations!

Love what I am seeing, and the studies are especially well done ( I really want a fortune cookie right now). I need to do some studies myself now after seeing this sketchbook.
