Hey guys im a long time lurker around these parts and Im thinking of moving into the digital age. Im a comic inker that has used brushes and quills for a long time but after speaking with some friends I would like to get a cintiq to combine my traditional inking skills with digital programs. From what i have researched on the cintiq 21ux and 12wx my initial gut reaction was to get the 21, but I want to know if you guys think the 2048 levels are worth double the price of the 12wx.
The inkers that I know as digital inkers with work that I enjoy use either 21ux or the Intuos 4 ( yes I know both have the same tech) which are both 2048. So in you guys experience is there a notable difference in the pressure levels, and I ask this as an inker where making tapering lines is a mainstay in my work.
Thanks for any help you guys can give.
thanks for the link but that was written 2 almost 3 years ago, though I wonder if the same applies now with new tech
My advice is to try them before you buy. In my opinion there is a noticeable difference between 1024 and 2048 level of pressure, and this is not the only difference.
