    Erik's DSB | may 13th

    Hi there!

My old sketchbook seems to have sunk beneath thick sheets of sediment... Here some new works, i hope to keep this sketchbook alive this time, you know, water it, talk to it, stuff like that.

Some WW1 inspired soldiers for the First Guerrilla-Games Weekly Concept-art Session (and as of yet the only session of that kind ;-) probably psot more of these soon)

A drawing of a more meditative state of mind

And a return of the Warrior-Ant inspired, nameless race

Please tell me your honest crits!

my only crit is that iīll try to simplify more the drawings.
I mean, try to leave clean the shadow and light areas, because there are a lot of lines that make the light areas dirty as well as a lot of holes in the dark areas. The same happens in the color ones.
I donīt know if itīs a matter of personal taste but i think all the drawings you have posted here have an "underground comic" feel that i donīt know if itīs what youīre trying to achieve.
Thatīs the only thing i have to say, try to leave clean the light and shadow areas to make the objet more readable. Otherwise, great concepts. I like them

I donīt really know if all this makes any sense....

Hey Jaku thnx for the crit. WHat do you mean by 'holes in the dark areas' ?

I think i understand the part about simplyfying, i need a clear focal point in the drawings in stead of working every part.
