A mix of everything
So this evening I was browsing my computer and realized as I looked through my art favorites that I have a very very large amount of resources that iv saved up over the last couple of years, so I decided why not share them. What ill be doing is posting THE best resource I have or can find once per day, this resource could be anything from a gesture drawing tool like http:/www.pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php to a specialized texture pack like http://browse.deviantart.com/resourc...tures/#/dqoi2i this, so check back often because you never know what I might post.
All the resources I post will be usable by the public and and for commercial use(no stolen items and I wont be saying I made them or any of that doodoo). As always moderators if I overstep my bounds let me know and ill correct posts etc etc. As a last note if anyone would like something specific posted let me know via pm and ill see if I can make it
I re-posted this since it was initially posted in the wrong section and the mods seem to be pretty busy
That gesture drawing site will be very helpful. Great first resource! Can't wait to see what you post next.
alrighty so heres the resource of the day its a nice painting tutorial by andantonius.http://browse.deviantart.com/resourc...der=9#/d367w0q its got some great points for beginner and advanced artists alike
ok so the resource of the day is a super helpful one, its been posted on here before but frequently gets buried. Its Len whites color wheel v1.1. this little tool is amazing for any hardcore photoshop user http://nerdchallenge.com/lenwhite/Le...White.com.html
But theres more, since this isnt the first time its been posted I did some searching and found another more original resource as well. Its a collection of video tutorials that should be helpful to new artists http://clustr.com/news/detail/ctrlpa...ideo_tutorials (its got some stuff on masks and some good things to do BEFORE you start painting, ctrl+paint is an amazing site)
Whats up artists another resource post coming right up, heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNNSq6wo6kc(this is a landscape painting tutorial from a great site called idrawgirls.com)
If you guys like the things im posting by all means subscribe to the thread and or hit that "thanks" button, it gives me a warm feeling when I know iv helped out in some way.
Ok folks time for another resource post, this one should be helpful to those looking for some new custom brushes to bolster their arsenal. The sites been around for awhile and its called http://qbrushes.net/ and its got every brush imaginable from galactic to grunge or even brushes that simulate speed lines in a slowed down traffic cam, yummy right
im hoping a mod will eventually sticky this thread so more people can find it if I dont post for a day or two because of work or travel
they there folks time to brighten your morning with a new resource to check out. This ones called palette grabber, ever wanted to know what your favorite artists used for colors in a painting( for example I love hyung tae kim's style an colors) well this tool should help you out, what it does is creates a color palette for Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, Flash, Fireworks, Paint.NET, or OS X based on the current pages colors
As a bonus since its the weekend I went and quickly found an entire color palette used by idrawgirls founder xia taptara.
Thats all for today and I hope you guys and girls have fun creating something. As always dont forget to subscribe to the thread and hit that thanks button.
Ok heres the resource of the day, I didnt have much time to search but I found a hair painting tutorial thats been up for awhile but I never see being posted even thought its great.
sorry folks no resource today as iv been really busy and haven't had time to look around for something of quality to post
Oook finally done my nightshift so im sitting here at 4:50 in the morning and thought i might as well get the next resource of the day together, so here it is. Todays resource is a BIG tutorial from the imaginefx.com's site dubbed "100 new ways to paint"
In addition to being a great site for free tutorials their magazines are probably the best digital art mags iv seen to date so if your loved one is having problems finding a gift for you drop some hints about a magazine subscription (just my opinion btw)
As always dont forget to subscribe to the thread and hit that big thanks button
Why don't we work together, I have a huge thread with tutorials and other stuff. Why don't you post on that thread, and I will add it to the list. This way people can go to a one stop shop for information instead of having to go to a 1000000 different places to find link. Let me know what you think. Links in the signature
Ill think about it, the biggest thing is that it kinda makes the point of the thread moot as people cant just follow along day by day or just skip to the newest post, that and it might be hard for some to figure out whats new if it was all in one massive compendium, but like i said ill think it over
Also here's the resource of the day. its a step by step tutorial by rebeccasx that should help newer painters with clothes and such
todays resource for the day x2 a head reference chart by yuumei
and a stylized painting tutorial by ionen a personal fav of mine
here's today's resource folks. Its the free tutorial section of Feng Zhu's website, he has been good enough to post OVER 45 free video tutorials on character design and other aspects that you can view over youtube
As always don't forget to subscribe and hit the thanks button, if you feel like it
hopefully this thread is helping people out, well here's the next addition to resource of the day its a tutorial on composition and the rule of thirds by robaato, he has got a great way to explain the process.
sorry about the recent delays with the resource of the day, its been really busy lately and i havent had any time to slack off and look for some resources. I may take a short break from posting till christmas is over with and my work/life calms down, but till then review the previous posts and enjoy this new one.
an amazing environment painting with noah bradley
That one was great.
And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.
from addictivetips.com ............ It rarely happens that you come across a web application where you can view a complete 3D model of the human body, separately view each and every organ and bone of the human anatomy, as well as the conditions and diseases relevant to each organ, without the fuss of creating an account, and all that free of cost! You get all these features in BioDigital Human. You have the option of viewing 3D model of human anatomy, zoom in and out, rotate the 3D model, take a snap shot, view the 11 principal body functional systems individually, as well as combined. If you type the name of any muscle or bone in the search bar, you get a close up view of it instantly with a zoomed in view. There is built in vocal function in this web app that explains each selected section of the human body in audio, along with text that is explained in a small pop up box.
Visit BioDigital Human
BioDigital Human is meant not only for medical students and artists of human anatomy, but also for common users, as it provides a thorough insight on how our body works, as well as has the common conditions it suffers from. The web app is highly graphic-intensive, and it might not run on your browser if it is not fully updated, as in my case, it was working on Firefox but not on Chrome.
Love. Where does it come from? Who lit this flame in us? No war can put it out, conquer it. I was a prisoner. You set me free.
