Improve or perish! Dennis Sketchbook
CHECK THE LAST PAGE! NAOW!
My name is Dennis. I have been drawing seriously since about September-November 2010 (although, the first six months or so, I still spent considerable time on stuff such as computer games, daytime job and such). In 25th November 2010, I bought a tablet, and since then, I have been doing digital art, learning everything from skratch.
Currently, im studying to become a comic book artist, but I still got a long way to go, so every bit of advice or criticism is most welcome in my never-ending quest to improve my artworks!

Some movie stills and sketches (sorry if the sizes are big, im not sure on how to operate a sketchbook yet )

A couple of comic pages that are a bit older. Parody comic that I havn't gotten around to finish yet -_-:
great short story
about sketches: imo, you should base them on shadows/lights and no lines, especially when you draw something from observation
keep it up
Enviroment Studies. Theese took between 30 - 60 minutes each to draw.
Thanks! The short story is not done yet, still got 2 more pages to finish.

your comic pages were very funny and well drawn.
I like your most recent studies, show significant improvement
the far right womans emphasis on her love handles with those sculpted abs is a little odd, that and the sports bra are the only thing that suggests that she is a female? Very muscular.
"I am your God, now bring me your knee caps!"
(Psst; draw a birch. I challenge you to do it! )
Thanks for comments and advices!
Birch coming up ... Ehm ... Soon :<
Here's some studies for now. Also a portrait of a random friend at Facebook. Going to practice portraits a little for the next couple of weeks, always sucked at it...
Movie Still study of the Joker.
Some stuff from today. Portrait of a friend and a 1 hour study of Tron Legacy enviroment.
Sketch of a friends comic character in my style!

I brought my tablet there, but I couldn't really paint anything advanced on her tiny laptop (not that good yet ._.). Did do a lot of studies though, and TONS of sketches, gonna scan some tomorrow.
Anyway. Here are some anatomy studies and a random still life:
Hmm, weird ... Just updated this thread, and the post still isn't visible ...
Glitch? Or does it just take a long time for the mods to authorize it?
Just testing to post a picture again ... Heres a sky study I just did:
Allright, here are the studies again. If they show up twice, then you know why:
Some random stuff. Studies and some sketches. Got tons of WIP stuff as well, so i'll hopefully update this thread again in a day or two.

Now smaller sizes! Some anatomy studies, cloud study and concept art for a comic book character. Had to draw and color the comic book guy in a way thats fast to draw and color due to tight deadline with the comic itself.
Whoopee, you weren't joking when you said you had a lot of stuff to post this weekend! I really dig the muscle practise art. Those grey tones, just... yum!
