Hi! I'm Marie, a graphic design student, an amateur sequential artist and an aspiring illustrator. I had started a sketchbook about a year ago, but never really stuck with it, unfortunately. A friend of mine recently started a sketchbook here, and it's encouraged me to give it another go - and persist! I am really in need of some fresh eyes and sharp critique.
What I feel I should work on particularly is my rendering (I am especially new to digital painting, help!), my anatomy and my composition. I'll start off with a few recent pieces, and try to keep going with some actual studies. I thank you for your interest and feedback!

I really like these fast ones, in fact I like all of them! Great start! Keep it up
HEY BRO! Great to see you here! Keep working those gestures, can't do too many of those. The paintings are looking nice but be careful with all the effects and saturation, specially the sharpen tool! Because you shouldn't have to rely on tools like that ALL the time, gotta rely on your own shading and blending skills! (or develop them in certain cases) I'd love to see more of your traditional stuff again though, you should bring some more of those arooooound!

Heeeeeeey duuuuude : D
Keep practicing those paintings! You'll get better at it every time, studies are the key! Maybe try experimenting with different brush settings?
Also agreed with Nat about breaking out more traditional stuff!! you kick butt at itttt
5 stars! Merry christmas! *****
MY DAILY SKETCHES
If you can read this, I gave you 5 stars
Thanks for your thoughtful feedback guys!! Eecchh I can't believe it's already been a month since I posted here, the longer it got the more I put it off, lol.
Thankfully, I've still been drawing, but not doing nearly as many studies as I'd liked. Been very busy, but it's no excuse! My New Year's resolution is to be more disciplined; draw everyday, study regularly, post here regularly. Wish me luck!
Here's what I've been up to, more or less:
RDJ - 45 min value study from photo
Christopher Eccleston - 1hr value study from photo
Would *love* feedback on the last two pieces, since I put more effort into them, esp. composition wise!
Have some sketches too (but not nearly enough!!), but it seems kind of late to post them now.
