    Steak-Tron's Exit Show

I figured this would be the place to put it. My thesis project was about creature development, so the artwork was not as detailed as i had hoped, I'm relativley new to digi-coloring.

Let me know what you peeps think. See yall's in Austin...

some serious thought has gone into your creatures and it shows through. very clear defined style too, - the Apatelosis Hoplites is particularily well done.

alti: thankyou. that's very good to hear.

JoshuA:thanks! believability was a key issue for me.

Montross: thanks dude. I'll post some more soon (as i make em' that is) I'll post the sketches in my daily sketchbook thread.

el coro: damn. that's awesome to hear from you. thankyou. lookin' forward to Austin.

ozan: thanks man. your work is great, I just checked it out.

SaIiLdVaEnR: A. Hoplites was the last one I did. I had the rough concept but it really came together when I studied the entymology collection at the University. i was lucky enough to have the collector let me take the specimens out and photo them from different angles. I'll post my pics in the reference section soon.

maldrin: thanks! your tag line is the shit by the way. "17 days! were not gonna last 17 hours, with those things crawlin' around.."

    cotron: thanks!

thanks guys, your comments mean alot to me. I'm getting serious about going into this industry having just graduated from design school. Now I gotsta' go draw some bots.

    just FYI

I read all the creature descriptions, and I noticed that on A. Hoplites, you changed to calling it A. Spinosa about halfway through. Just thought you should know.

Other than that, I think the work is very well developed and nicely rendered. The coloring is a little flat, but not bad by any means. You could add some more definition to the structures on your creatures by adding highlights and reflected light, though.

    Nice work!
