    My font

So I was thinking about making a typeface to go along with my portfolio, business cards, and personal branding. This is what I have now. I'd like some feedback because I don't want to be ridiculed as making the next comic sans.

I'd like to incorporate illustration in my design, so that's why I went with a scripted font, instead of the geometric one I was originally working on. My drawing isn't graphic, it's representational, in color pencil and pencil, or looks that way if I draw on the computer. I'm still not the best at deciding what typefaces are good for what. Is this typeface okay? or should I just find a nice typeface that exists already? Or do I need to show what my work looks like so people will have a better idea of what I'm after?
