Where to start?
Okay, currently, I'm trying to get better at drawing. I've pushed anime aside just so I focus on this, but I'm having trouble on where to start; which should I cover first, line (I've slightly improved on my lines), value, perspective, proportions? I'm obsessed with drawing, but also confused. Can anyone give me some tips and advice?

might sound tough but i would do all at once. all of these elements are pretty much needed for successful art.you should also add anatomy to your studys.human, animal, and comparitive are all good ideas.my suggestion is if your experienced enough to tell what is lacking in a finished piece then on your next study you can focus on that exclusively (example you do a piece but realise the perspective is wrong, next time do an exercise that focuses only on perspective.) and if your not to the point that you can tell whats wrong in a piece then i would do studies for all of the fields that you wish to improve on. (draw an arm, draw perspective of a building, draw a childs toy and work on the values it displays, etc).
i would recommend these books:
