Nice start! Your colours are looking good (which is awesome)! You might want to work on your values a bit tho. Your still lifes are flattening out in certain areas, and with your colours on the right track, it may be a value issue. It might seem like an annoying and noobish task, but value scales helped me a lot recently, maybe give a few a shot, and try and get them done right in the first pass (with a pencil and paper of course :p) Or maybe try and do a still life in grey scale only? I hope that helps. Keep it up man!

Nice works! Loving the black and white lady in the water, looks really good!
And if I have any recommendations... Well, not that great with faces myself :p I always find high contrast a big attention point to myself. Try to make things lighter or darker and see if it brings more life to your work.
Other then that I can only advice practice. Practice makes perfect, have patience. I'll be trying with you Keep up the good work!

hey Zesiul. I think people cant really give you special advice for getting better at that. The general stuff is explained in books as Loomis... You really have to focus on it and it will get better soon. This is a hard time you are going throu and you just have to stick with it.

Wow thanks man. I definitely don't deserve that coming from someone with your talents.
Also, as for tonight I only got 1 extra study done cause it's been a busy weekend. Never the less, still expect the daily to start around 4pm tomorrow est. So done by 6. Can't promos I'll have time to do more skulls tomorrow night though.

Nice paint studies.
The skull looks a bit stylized and more of an embossing. Most of the time the rows of teeth wouldn't extend past the eye sockets in terms of width. (Skull facing the viewer)
Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

Great studies, keep up the good work and you'll be smashing in no time.
I think that when you paint faces you shouldn't be so quick to render them before you are truly happy with how you've blocked in the forms of the face, they seem a little airbrushed and soft. Think about the underlying structure of the face, studying skulls is great but don't forget to consider the shapes of muscles and fat under the skin too!
Keep at it!

You definitely have strong rendering skills, although I'd like to see you try a little more with skin texture. Right now the skin looks far too smooth/plastic and fake next to your beautifully rendered hair. There are also a couple areas where I think studying basic anatomy would do you well. Overall, though, pretty impressive paintings here! I love your color choices for your most recent girl. The shadows on her resting leg.. beautiful!

Yeah that was a long day for me... I'll do more skulls soon!
Yeah I was considering doing some skull studies.
Haha, thanks. Maybe when ever I get back into the show I'll do some more studies of Walter, or whoever else.
Great advice. I'm going to do a lot more sketches once I get the time. Also these are studies of others art, so if the colors seem nice it's just me looking at the original artists colors and trying to recreate them.

Finally finished week 3. What I got from it? I need to study up on some basic anatomy, go back into loomis. I need to stop slowing down and ignore distractions.
So for week 4 I'll do all of that, I'm liking my brush strokes a bit more, but they could always use work.
Tell me what you guys think.

This week is more about me studying up on some basic anatomy, an area I've avoided for awhile. It won't be very pretty, and that much I'm counting on.
