Is this something you're purchasing through a third party?

I mean like an Amazon or ebay merchant.

In the case of Corel Painter, one often used trick (and I'm quite sure it's used for Photoshop) is that they often use the gimmick "Discounted because you're receiving the disc only"

There is NO big monetary difference where you receive a big discount for just the "Disc only". Look at how much it goes for when you download it and a retail box, you'll see what I mean.

anything that cheap is going to be pirated. Adobe cs 5 does call home to adobe when you use it btw. That being said I dont think the discussion of pirated software is allowed. Use common sense. You wouldnt want someone stealing your artwork. so dont do the same thing and steal the software.

You're young right? Just get Adobe Photoshop Elements when you buy a tablet, or Easy Paint Tool Sai or Open Canvas 1.1 (which is free)

Worry about Photoshop later when you're in school and qualify for the student edition.

A quick search of the actual cost of the aforementioned software will let you know whether the guy is legit or not.
