    Yeah, I am back!
I've been busy with school and now I have summer job, so I hope I will some time for art.
Here are some recent paintings, it isn't much for big update, but it is better to not overload pages in SB to avoid long loading.
    Still neglecting pencil

Something from mind, a lot of mistakes, it isn't organised, messy not readable.

At last something I have never done before, architecture, a lot of textures. I am quite happy with result. With ref.

    Hey,

Amazing to see how much you've improved in so little time. You seem to be very confident now with your little figure sketches.

    Keep going!

Thanks for the comment, nice work on the architecture! Your observational work is getting good. Your need to use your imagination muscles more though!

WoW, 6 replies, this is new record of this thread. Guys and girl, you are awesome. Thanks for your kind words.

Here is another bunch of drawings. My drawings look sooo bad, need to study harder. I am not used to draw everyday, but I should. So I decided to update this thread TWICE a week(it is simple (I think) during summer holidays but it will be more difficult during school, we will see) and when I get used to it I can update 3times and so on.... It would be great to draw and update everyday.

As Vertical said I have to draw more from my memory, so here are my attempts.

My faces lack construction, have to study skull more + lightning. Without ref

Good studies, loving the bones and drapery. Remember perspective on the faces

Kvetch: Thanks a lot. You are right. I need to pay more attention on this thing.
    ................

I am sorry. I failed because I said that update will be twice a week. It's pretty hard to jump into new schedule, but I will try it.

Here is a new bunch of crappy drawings.

hey, thanks for looking at my SB. Nice progress man, I like the pencil studies and the digis are getting better too. I'm looking forward to the 100th portrait, I'm sure it will be really awesome then Anyway, I'd suggest to try and experiment a bit more with colour. Cheers

hey! stopping by to see what you had new, great stuff man, i see a lot of hard work, and that is obviously good, great work with the faces, keep working on them, and stick to that one hundred faces exercise...

got an advice on painting landscapes (because i saw that one with the trucks and the moto) the values of a landscape change in distance, so, applying that to your painting will make the sky (background) a lighter value than the whole scene (trucks and stuff) even more than it is now... study some photos of landscapes and see what I'm talking about..

i see you tried out the bust thing, nice one! haha

Pete Hidalgo: Thanks, they aren't awesome, I am far away from awesome art, but I will study hard to create something not soo crappy .

davK: Thanks, I hope that 100th face will be awesome, but there are still things I have problems with. Need to kick my weakness and change it to my strengths. Color? hmm, I don't know I don't understand light very well so after studying it why not ...

Gpozzo: Thank you, you are right I can't forget on my personal challenge. Great advice about landscapes I used it in my update. I wanted to create dark atmosphere full of clouds, but it is true that clouds in distance had to be lighter.

hey! thanks for dropping by my sb. I think that paying attention to the value ranges will help you. I think most of the time your dark range doesn't quite get dark enough, especially with pencils. often you'll need really dark pencils, or ink, or a black wax-based pencil to get those dark values accurate. You can also never go wrong with scott robertson. His dvd on freehand perspective and his other 3 dvds on renderings are super informative. IF you do decide to get those, remember that all of the information applies to figures, heads.. well .. everything else as well!! keep it up!

Nice updates man, face #7 came out quite nice, next time try not using the color picker (you will get better at values if you do this) liked the fact that you are practicing anatomy a bit deeper (the neck studies) you should do that more often, practice the musculature and bones of the body a lot, and you will be great at drawing figures in no time.. nice one on the self portraits, liking the lightning in the last one.. keep at it man! i'll be glad to see more!

Thanks for slaping my face i must say even that you'r not update so often, you'r pretty good, the lifes looks great, they'r readly very well and you did good job with the perspective. Last SP painting show big progress, really like almost all the SF they'r nice and have clean structure even the hands looks great, i've try to draw my own hands it wasn't easy, your outcome is better than mine. Wish you more time for drawing and update more often, keep it up.

    Cheers

I know you need pencil miles, but sometimes you should slow down and spend more time looking. Like the SPs, especially the last one.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

The first selfportrait is wrong and you already know why...You should spend more time on the initial phase, just take your time with the proportions and control (in the mirror) if is right or there is something strange.
Tha last selfportrait is really better! Maybe just add a bit more dark and light contrast

Hey, you're neglecting this sketchbook almost as much as I've been neglecting mine.

Love the hands and the last self-portrait looks like a big step forward. Now get your ass in gear :p

Jarrad: You are right my friend, my pencils are very greyish, need to push more on my pencil. Yeah, Scott Robertson is awesome, I'll look something about it. Thank you very much.

Pete Hidalgo: It's not awesome, but I'll try to do everything for it. Thanks, I am glad you like it.

Gpozzo: Thank you, my friend. There is a little misunderstanding. I did't pick the colors up from reference. I wanted to say that there were more values but I used only 4 of them and then I used/picked them from my own canvas. Don't know if you understand. Never mind. My fault.
I guess colors all the time. Yes, I need to practice that much more. Thanks again.

eclip-se: Thanks mate, I didn't want to slap you on your face, hope I didn't hurt you too much, kidding. Yes you are right, hands are pretty hard to draw.

Black Spot: Pencils are very important, but observing things too. Thank you.

Eleyon: Thank you, you are right, more time on measurements and bigger contrast, I got it.

LtPlissken: Thank you my friend, I know I was quite inactive. I'll try to update regurarly. Hope you are fine too.

DaevidK: I am sorry, need to update more often. Thank you, mate.

Kvetch: Thanks for kicking my butt, yes, need to do something.

Soooo, It's been a long time I've been here. I'll try to update more often, I promise! I decided to put my tablet aside for a while (until january-february), because I am taking entrance exams on university where I'd like to study architecture. Exams are on january, so I need to learn how to draw as quickly as possible.
I also change my attitude to drawing, so there won't be only studies, but some personal stuff too, as examination what I learnt.

    Firstly some studies

nice skulls...anyway, architecture? And which university you want to attend? I've tried to study architecture in STU, Bratislava, but I quickly realised that it's a shitload of hard work, and if your heart is not into it...well, you'd best get out of there. At least that was my case, I had almost no time to paint or do my stuff in my free time...
