    Faxing Seattle

I figured its been enough and I think I've figured out where I want to go (LCAD :3) and since I don't even know where my old sketchbook went, nor am I too inclined to search for it. It's time for a new one. yeah

Grats on your new sb Btw I think this is your old sb http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=217799
And I wanna go to LCAD too! although the main prob for me is price. But my friend goes there right now and from what she says, it sounds pretty great.
From what I've seen from your work, I think you could benefit a lot from figure studies and gesturals. A lot of your sketches are stiff, off-proportion/inaccurate and you have waay too many passes over the same line imo.

Hey you! Yes, you! Crit me!

My CA.org Sketchbook 1 Last page Bashing much needed and appreciated!

Yeah, the prices are pretty ridiculous, but I think it would be worth it. Still not entirely sure what I want to do though either so..yeah.
But I'm probably going to transfer with some credits from community college, not to mention scholarships!
Anyways I left here for a bit because of reasons. Again.
But I'm back and I think I've improved not much but some.

Nice attention to value on that last one! Try to control your lines better, they're looking rather scratchy and uncontrolled. use broad, descriptive strokes from your shoulder and never make a single line that doesn't describe something, and never use more than one line for something that only needs one.

God why wont things stop being so huge aaagh

If pictures are too big, it's because of the resolution. 2000 pixels wide is big enough to fill even big screens. I guess 800pixels wide should be enough or even less, when it's just skribbles or sketches.

omgh i really really love the fox.
A tip i can provide is to kind of ignore the details when you sketch from imagination first.
If your set, intent on drawing a character lets say an oark, start to sketch the body, and notable features ( round belly, big head) and then pay attention to the bigger details like armour and clothing. This helps me understand poses better and why somethings may be missing if i put the oark in an action pose. It also allows me to catch mistakes early before I go into detail mode.

The link is right there, its ok to press. Any help/advice is appreciated.

I agree with what others said, studies studies studies studies! What course exactly are you planning to take at LCAD? If you plan on going into animation, gesture drawings should be on the top of the list!

    Keep it up!

Thanks! I did some more studies. And I'm not sure if I'm even going to LCAD. It's been a flurry of low self esteem here lately and family pressure to join the Navy (I'm in huge trouble because I'm not eligible, geez louise)
