Rendering is getting better and better! And those have personality! Background color in that piece could be better, because it's too similar to what the characters are wearing. Try some more atmospheric perspective, make it bluer.

Bahaha! This sketchbook is amazing! And only two pages!
I particularly like how you are keeping up both the digital and
    the traditional.

blindshot- Thanks for the compliment!! doom is the man. I really want to paint some more masks. more to come for sure!

Lumens- Thanks! now that i'm back on track this semester, Ill just keep on moving and posting.

Jansi-Thanks so much! I really appreciate your thoughts. I think that having a balance between the two areas are so very important, plus....too much fun to not do both!

Here's a sketch post. I have really been trying to draw as much as I can, trying out out pen and ink to help improve the confidence in my line. VERY hard. but here are some pens and pencils.

    1. Had an idea of a stone that killed anyone that it touches. pen.
    2. An idea for an editorial class.
    3. Lisbeeeetttth. ahh.

More digital from life. The 1st one is an oldie, and the second is from this past tuesday. I'm really loving these after school renegade portrait clubs. It's all great creative energy, AMAZING models and good friends to talk art with...i think i'm going to cry...

    Cheers!

Man, you are tearing it up in here. I looked through your sketchbook again and saw an old comment I made in here....what the fuck was I smoking? Your art is looking really good.

That leather boot and that portrait are terrific. I especially like the colors in the portrait and the painterly feel it has.

    Later.

Here's my final for an illustration for a Grimm's fairytale, The Girl Without Hands. It's the scene when she finally meets her guardian angel.

Cheers. I really enjoyed working on this.

Elkishly- Thanks so much for your comments and sorry it has taken me so long to respond, school is crazy busy. Your sketchbook shows great progress and WOW you do so much more than I did when I was your age. I'll try to help you a little with rendering, but sometimes I feel like I have no idea what i'm doing either! i guess its all because of the extra practice with my friends that I linked down in my footer.

Sorry for long overdue posts. Here's my self portrait that I'm working on, I really want to do more of these in different lighting conditions, poses, etc.
And here are two of my first characters that I drew up for my conceptart class at school. I really liked the quick turnarounds with these guys and I really should do like...50 million every week. but as they say the flesh is weak..BUT it's getting stronger!

    Cheers.

I'm really digging the way you apply color in your studies, the surfaces look very smooth and flowing, very natural. It's apparent that you have a great understanding of planes and masses in the human body/face, but it's not really reflected in your drawings from imagination IMHO. Maybe you could try doing some value studies when you're doing things from imagination and think of how shadow and light would behave in a photograph.
